  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well ensuring shrimp are evenly coated. Let the mixture marinate for 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Place a large skillet on the stovetop over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Heat the oil until shimmering but not smoking.
  3. Sauté the Shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and start to develop a slight sear on one side.
  4. Flip and Finish Cooking: Turn the shrimp over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they are opaque and fully cooked through.
  5. Add Green Onions: Stir in the chopped green onions during the last minute of cooking to infuse fresh flavor and a mild bite.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from the heat, garnish the shrimp with freshly chopped parsley, and transfer them immediately to a serving platter while hot. Serve alongside rice or crusty bread for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper quantity based on your preferred spice tolerance.
  • This dish is excellent served with steamed rice, garlic bread, or a simple green salad.
  • Use fresh shrimp for best texture and flavor; if frozen, thaw thoroughly before marinating.
