This easy-to-make dessert pairs fudgy brownies with a crispy graham cracker twist and toasted marshmallows and chocolate chips on top, making it perfect for picnics, potlucks, BBQs, camping, or any cozy get-together.

Brownie Base

  • 1 18.3 oz box of brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 egg

Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) to prepare for baking the brownie base.
  2. Mix Brownie Batter: In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, graham cracker crumbs, water, oil, and egg. Mix everything by hand for about 1 minute until smoothly blended.
  3. Spread Batter: Pour and spread the brownie batter evenly into a nonstick baking pan or a pan sprayed with nonstick spray.
  4. Bake Brownies: Bake in the preheated oven for 22 to 25 minutes, testing doneness by inserting a toothpick about 2 inches from the side of the pan – it should come out clean. Avoid overbaking to keep brownies fudgy.
  5. Prepare for Broiling: Once baked, remove the pan from the oven immediately. Turn the oven to broil mode and get ready to toast the topping.
  6. Add Toppings: Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips and miniature marshmallows over the top of the warm brownies.
  7. Broil Toppings: Place the pan under the broiler rack set about 4 to 6 inches from the heat source. Broil for approximately 1 minute, or until the marshmallows are lightly browned and toasted. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  8. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool sufficiently before cutting into 36 bars for serving. This helps toppings set and bars slice cleanly.
