Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef (8–10 mins): Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain the excess grease. Add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, then simmer the mixture for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Warm the Tortillas: Heat the flour tortillas on a dry skillet or in the microwave briefly to make them more pliable and easier to fold without tearing.
  3. Assemble the Burrito (5 mins): Lay a warmed tortilla flat and layer evenly with cooked white rice, the seasoned beef mixture, nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  4. Grill the Burrito (3–4 mins per side): Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese onto the surface. Place the burrito seam-side down onto the cheese and cook until the cheese melts and forms a crispy, golden crust. Flip the burrito and repeat the process on the other side to get a crispy, cheesy exterior.

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked rice for best texture.
  • Adjust chipotle sauce amount to taste if you prefer more or less spice.
  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives.
  • Butter or oil can be used for grilling; butter gives a richer flavor.
  • Serve with salsa or guacamole for added flavor.
