Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (8 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon honey, optional
  • Crackers or baguette slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to reach the full temperature before baking.
  2. Prepare Cheese: Place the Brie wheel on a baking dish or a parchment-lined baking sheet. Optionally, trim the rind lightly from the edges to make scooping easier after baking.
  3. Combine Garlic and Herbs: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Top Brie with Herb Mixture: Spoon the garlic and herb mixture evenly over the top surface of the Brie wheel, spreading it gently with a spoon.
  5. Bake Brie: Place the Brie in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is warmed through and the center becomes soft but still holds its shape.
  6. Optional Honey Drizzle and Final Garnish: Remove the Brie from the oven. If desired, drizzle honey lightly over the top for a hint of sweetness. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley for a bright, fresh finish.
  7. Serve: Serve the baked Brie warm alongside crackers or slices of baguette for dipping and scooping.

Notes

  • For easier serving, you can trim the rind slightly before baking to allow easier scooping of the cheese.
  • Use fresh herbs if possible for brighter flavor, but dried herbs work well as substitutes.
  • If you prefer a sweeter contrast, the honey drizzle is highly recommended.
  • Serve immediately while warm and gooey for the best texture and flavor experience.
  • Leftover baked Brie can be refrigerated and lightly reheated, but it’s best enjoyed fresh.
