Ingredients

Scale

Salad

  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 2 large cucumbers, sliced or chopped
  • ½ cup shaved or grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons

Caesar Dressing

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep the vegetables: Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and slice the cucumbers into thin rounds or half-moons to ensure even crunch and fresh texture.
  2. Make the dressing: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, finely minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese until the dressing becomes smooth, creamy, and thick but still pourable.
  3. Assemble the salad: Add the chopped romaine lettuce and sliced cucumbers into a large salad bowl.
  4. Dress & toss: Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad and gently toss everything together until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
  5. Finish & serve: Top the salad with croutons and extra shaved or grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately to maintain the best texture and freshness.

Notes

  • For extra freshness, chill cucumbers before slicing.
  • To lighten the salad, substitute half of the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • Add grilled chicken or shrimp to make this salad a more filling main meal.
  • Store the dressing separately from the salad if not serving immediately; salad ingredients stay fresh up to 2 days when kept apart.
