Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Mince the garlic cloves finely and slice the baby bella mushrooms thinly to ensure even cooking and maximum flavor release.
  2. Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms: Heat the butter in a deep skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for one minute until fragrant. Then add the sliced mushrooms, salt, and freshly cracked pepper, continuing to sauté until the mushrooms soften, their moisture evaporates, and the edges start to brown, enhancing their umami flavor.
  3. Add Pasta and Broth: Into the same skillet, add the dry fettuccine along with the vegetable broth. Stir gently to combine. It’s okay if the broth does not fully cover the pasta as it will cook by simmering in the broth.
